Honeybees are all we do
As a dedicated bee removal specialist, Ben & Bees focuses on honeybee removal and live relocation throughout South Florida. From established colonies inside walls, soffits and roofs to exposed swarms and unusual hive locations, our focus is safely resolving the bee problem while protecting the property and, whenever possible, preserving the colony.
- 01
Structural hive removal
Colonies inside walls, soffits, roofs and ceilings. We open just enough to reach the hive, take out the bees and the comb so nothing is left to melt, rot or draw a new swarm, and patch the access point.
- 02
Live relocation whenever possible
Relocation is how we do the removal. We vacuum the bees gently, find the queen when we can, and move the colony to a local apiary whenever the situation allows.
- 03
Honeybee specialists in South Florida
Honeybee removal is our focus. Year-round warmth here means colonies never really stop building, and we see new hiding spots every week.
Where bees actually move in
Scout bees go looking for a dry, dark, protected cavity with a small entrance they can guard. In South Florida that describes a lot more than walls, which is why it pays to call a bee removal specialist who knows where to look.
- 1
Walls & soffits
Hollow voids behind stucco and soffit panels, reached through a vent, a cracked seam or the gap around a pipe or cable.
- 2
Roofs
The space under barrel tile stays dry and shaded, and a single lifted tile is all the entrance a colony needs.
- 3
Sheds & structures
Nobody opens them for weeks. Dark corners and wall cavities fill with comb before anyone notices.
- 4
Flower pots
An empty or upturned planter is a ready-made cavity, and the drain hole makes a tidy front door.
- 5
Ground utility & water meter boxes
Cool, dark and sealed on every side, with a finger hole in the lid that bees defend easily. We pull a lot of comb out of these.

Who is Ben?
Ben is a registered beekeeper, pest management professional and bee removal specialist who believes there’s a better way to solve a bee problem than killing the colony. So Ben & Bees does one thing: take honeybees out of places they shouldn’t be, alive, and move them somewhere they can keep working.
Most of the calls are the usual suspects, walls, soffits and roof voids. Plenty aren’t. Flower pots. Irrigation valve boxes. A water meter box by the sidewalk. Bees want a dry, dark cavity with a small entrance, and South Florida is full of them.
