Bee Inspection & Hive Detection

Bees going in and out of a gap doesn't tell you where the colony actually is. Ben & Bees provides bee inspection and hive detection to identify bee entry points and locate hidden colonies using professional inspection methods and thermal imaging, so the removal plan is based on where the hive really sits.
What We Look For
We watch the flight paths and traffic at each opening to find the active entry points, then trace them back into the structure. Thermal imaging helps us pinpoint a colony hidden behind stucco, inside a soffit, under roof tile, or in a ceiling or wall cavity, because an active colony gives off heat that shows through the surface.
Why It Matters
Knowing exactly where the colony is means we open only what's needed to reach it, which keeps the access point small. It also tells you how big the job is before any work starts, so the quote reflects the real situation.
After the Inspection
We explain what we found and recommend the next step, whether that's residential bee removal, commercial bee removal, swarm removal for an exposed cluster, or live bee relocation of the colony whenever possible. If someone's safety is at risk, our emergency bee removal team prioritizes the call.
Bee Inspection & Hive Detection FAQ
- 01
Structural hive removal
Colonies inside walls, soffits, roofs and ceilings. We open just enough to reach the hive, take out the bees and the comb so nothing is left to melt, rot or draw a new swarm, and patch the access point.
- 02
Live relocation whenever possible
Relocation is how we do the removal. We vacuum the bees gently, find the queen when we can, and move the colony to a local apiary whenever the situation allows.
- 03
Honeybee specialists in South Florida
Honeybee removal is our focus. Year-round warmth here means colonies never really stop building, and we see new hiding spots every week.
